Now more than ever!

Electric Woman and Dyna-Girl were awesome. And had a theme song to rival Wonder Woman‘s. Who knew that Electric Woman was future soap opera star Deidre Hall?

Don’t even think about dressing up as these two for Halloween. My friend Tracy and I already called it.

Did you watch the show? The 1970s ruled.

Wonder Woman to sing at women’s art museum

Did you know Lynda Carter, the awesomely cool lady who played the title character in the 1970s comic-book-come-to-life television show Wonder Woman, is also a talented singer? Carter, 57, is bringing the ol’ pipes (and maybe the golden lasso?) to town November 7 for an engagement at the the National Museum of Women in the Arts where Carter will receive a lifetime achievement award for doing stuff like this:

Carter didn’t just play a feminist hero, she walks the talk. Just a few months ago, Carter gave an interviewer her thoughts on Sarah Palin:

“Don’t get me started. She’s the anti-Wonder Woman. She’s judgmental and dictatorial, telling people how they’ve got to live their lives. And a superior religious self-righteousness … that’s just not what Wonder Woman is about. Hillary Clinton is a lot more like Wonder Woman than Mrs. Palin. She did it all, didn’t she?”

You said it, WW. Congratulations on a lifetime of achievement – and for being the inspiration for little girls all over the world to seek justice and kick ass.
