OMG. Are any Americans going to win Oscars?

We’ve got an Australian host. A Spanish Best Supporting Actress. An Australian Best Supporting Actor. The Japanese guy who won for Best Animated Short (who said in his acceptance speech, no joke, “Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto!”), The German people who won for sound stuff. All the Slumdog Millionaire Indian people. A British Best Director. A British Best Actress.

Oh my god: Mickey Rourke, we are counting on you. I never thought I would say this, but: you’ve got to represent us. UPDATE: Okay, or Sean Penn. Congrats for your win!

It’s official: Madonna and Guy are done

Madonna‘s publicist has confirmed the singer and British film maker Guy Ritchie, her husband of 7 1/2 years, are divorcing. I find it shocking especially since Guy always looks so happy in photos with his wife:

THE BAD NEWS: The couple have no prenuptial agreement, which is interesting since Madonna is worth an estimated $500-million. Though, in the past, Guy’s friends and family have gone on record saying Guy would never accept money from his wife in the event of a divorce. I bet Guy is even more thrilled now that Madonna strong-armed him into adopting that little African kid.

THE GOOD NEWS: Perhaps we’ve heard the last of Madonna’s embarrassing faux British accent? Pip pip.

Maybe Madonna can partner up again with her other ex-husband Sean Penn since his marriage is perpetually on the rocks and he’s recently been texting Madonna about his homosexual dalliances.

MY QUESTION TO YOU: Do you care about any of this?

Sean Penn texts Madonna after first gay kiss

According to actor James Franco, his co-star Sean Penn texted his ex-wife Madonna after the two fellas filmed their first kiss scene together for Gus Van Sant’s Harvey Milk docu-drama Milk.

Franco told The Mirror that Sean texted this message to the pop star:

“I just popped my cherry kissing a guy. I thought of you. I don’t know why.”

Is it too late for those two crazy lovebirds to work it out? It was so fun seeing paparazzi shots of the couple during the 1980s when Madonna would preen for the camera and Sean would be simultaneously swinging at it.

They made a movie about my hero

Just the trailer for Milk had me crying. Can’t wait to see the movie. I still have a “Harvey” magnet on my refrigerator that I bought 22 years ago. Yes, that’s really Sean Penn.
